WEEk SIX - Language

    Many people see the preservation of their language as a way of continuing their culture and way of life. In this video, a town in southern Mexico is trying to preserve their ancestors language by teaching it in the schools. Their language is Nahuatl, the language of the Aztecs. Although the language is still spoken by many people in Mexico Nahuatl is decreasing in its numbers of speakers. In this video the teachers uses games and songs to teach Nahuatl to the children.
